Dear family and friends;
It is important that we share with you some untimely but joyful news. Becca is expecting a baby. We have ruminated for some time as to how we would go about sharing such a sensitive and personal message. Becca cannot bare calling each of you to discuss this . We know there will be many feelings, insights and questions all very normal responses. In all honesty we are hoping you can work threw those thoughts and emotions and approach her with love and support. This choice comes with many consequences, some already very profound and painful, all are Rebecca's to carry. I expect she will move threw emotions and decisions continuously over the next several months and years.
Shawn and I are prepared to support her decision. She feels at present that she wants to raise her baby, even if that is a task she has to do without a loving partner. Becca had a sonogram recently and it appears that we are expecting a grandchild in December. That part is beautiful and exciting. There is nothing shameful or disappointing about a precious child. Becca is our precious child and we love her immensely. Please keep her in your prayers. We will keep you updated and now Shawn can post his true baby countdown on his facebook.

This baby will bring much love and joy and lessons, for everyone. It's a courageous thing for Becca to raise her child and I'm sure she will do a wonderful job. I conceived my daughter before I got married. It certainly wasn't the "plan" and it certainly wasn't ideal... but that's okay. There is much growth to be had when you step away from the ideal. I wish Becca, and the rest of you, nothing but happiness. It'll be a rough go, but the support will be amazing I'm sure!!
I've never had stronger emotions on this subject.(The lump is creeping up my throat at this moment). It takes great courage to keep a baby, it takes great courage to let one go. I have a unique perspective as an adoptive parent and fully appreciate the heartache from both ends. But oh the joy! We love you Becca and we will support you in all.
Beck, I know you will make the right decision, what ever that may be. You have an awesome family, both within the wall of your home and out who have a vast knowledge of what an tremendous and rewarding responsibility it is to raise a child. I'm learning that myself. I love you and want you to know that I'm here for you in what ever way that may be.

You couldn't ask for better support than someone like your parents. Keep us updated on the little one, we are excited for you.
