Reasons to love being Bonnie's daughter.

I got a call at 11:00 this morning ( 8 in paradise). I answered singing Aloha eee Aloha oooo. Mom was crying, she stated. "You mark my words within the next 5 years I will take you and your sisters and we will go to Hawaii." She just wanted so badly to share the beauty. She had seen some incredible orange flower, and watched the sunset over the ocean and she wa in awe at the wonder of it all. I love that way to be greatful. Then some little pale faced 2 yr old boy on the beach stuttered out Aloha to her and she said that she just hugged him. I love that to. Everything has its beauty not everyone sees it. Mahalo

PS This is my witness .Please note this as a living testament of her declaration to take us to Hawaii so we can hold her to it!!

Persuassive Paper Day

Gabby had to right a persuassive argument for her english class. Of greater importance if the paper actually does persuade its intended audience she gets extra credit. She proceeded to write a paper that began

Dear Mother;

I would like to have a day off from school where I can just spend time with you.

So the noodle worked her mojo, and today was her very own day. We started by wandering a boutique. We bought some summer clothes at DI. I then asked her where she wanted to have lunch. She said she wanted to try Indian food. I said " Gab I've made Indian food you aren't fond of the sweet and savory spice combo." She said. " Mom I love buffalo" I started to laugh and said " You're killin me here Gab they dont even serve beef." She replies, " Yes they do I have had it. Indians ate lots of buffalo." Oh my dear child... Indian food is from South Asia not the North American Plains. We ate at Sizzler no buffalo but a very rare steak made her quite happy. I texted Taylor to inform him he was feeling sick and needed to meet us at the theatre to watch the Lightning Thief. I found out on our date that Granny considers pickles and ketchup vegetables and thats one of the reasons Gabby likes to travel with her. I know about her plan to graduate early and join the airforce so she can see the world. I know she has an A in Geography and English and a C in Algebra. I realized that her freckles are lighter and her eyes are slightly greener than the once blue. She had me touch her flaxen hair to verify it was still baby soft in spite of the cheap Suave shampoo. I wonder if she will craddle the day away in a soft memory as I will? Tonight before she runs down the stairs to bed Im going to kiss the bridge of her nose and think.

" Oh pretty baby when did you become a little lady."
